Jin Shin Jyitsu

Jin Shin Jyitsu is an ancient art which harmonises the life energy in the body.

Originating in Japan and passed down from generation to generation, the Art had fallen into relative obscurity when it was revived in the early 20th century by Master Jiro Murai.  After curing himslef of a life threatening illness, Master Murai devoted the rest of his life to the reaerch and develoment of Jin Shin Jyitsu which he passed on to Mary Burmeister, a Japanese-American who brought the art to the USA in the 1950's.

Mary began teaching the Art in the 1960's and today there are thousands of JSJ students and teachers all over the world, though JSJ is relatively new to the UK.

There are two ways JSJ is offered at Sole to Soul Healing centre. JSJ treatment involves placing the fingertips on specific areas of the body which facilitates the correct flow of energy. There are many sequences which can be used and these are called 'flows'.

Treatment is very gentle, there is no undressing required and it is deeply relaxing to receive.  The main benefits are improved spiritual wellbeing, enhanced mental positivity and balanced physical energy.

A session lasts 1 hour, of which 45 minutes is hands on work. JSJ self help is vital to the whole philosophy of this art, whose basis is 'Know thyself'. JSJ self help is easy and great fun to learn, and appeals to all age groups. It is also a very effective practice to ease levels of stress and tension and stay centred in times of change.
